Deep tissue massage is best for giving attention to certain painful, stiff "trouble spots" in your body. This is through the slow, deliberate strokes and pressure points that focus pressure on layers of muscles, tendons, or other tissues deep under your skin. Though less rhythmic than other types of massage, deep tissue massage is typically more therapeutic.
Relax and Rejuvinate
It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish massage therapy can be both relaxing and energizing.
Relief During Change
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.
Warmed stones are used for the duration of the massage,on certain areas of the body, such as acupressure points. The stones will used as massage tools as an extension of the hands. Along with other massage techniques, hot stones can be quite soothing and relaxing as they transmit heat deep into the body.
